I have long been interested in how local news coverage is changing as new delivery technologies emerge. With more and more people feeling empowered to share their thoughts and information, it seems clear that big changes are looming.
On the other hand, I doubt that traditional news coverage will be going away any time soon. Even tomorrow’s generation has cut its teeth on the newscaster-as-authority model. Still, interesting days are likely around the corner. The question of course is, will it be better?
